Introduction

We'll keep covering product launches, partner program changes, AI tooling, and M&A activity.
This issue: Microsoft's shift to Marketplace Billed Sales for Dynamics 365 co-sell credit, Zoom's acquisition of Common Room, and MCP momentum across vendor certifications and new servers.
Microsoft moves Dynamics 365 co-sell credit to Marketplace Billed Sales
Microsoft announced on July 10 that ISV partners on the Dynamics 365 CRM stack must transact through Microsoft Marketplace to earn verified co-sell credit in FY27, the fiscal year that runs July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Marketplace Billed Sales replaces Partner Reported Azure Consumed Revenue as the metric by which partner impact is recognized for Dynamics 365 ISVs. The change follows Microsoft's June plan to consolidate ISV Success, Marketplace Rewards, Azure IP co-sell, and Solutions Partner designations into a single Frontier Accelerate for Marketplace program in fall 2026.
Zoom acquires Common Room
Zoom signed a definitive agreement to acquire Common Room on July 2, folding pre-conversation account identification into Zoom's Revenue Accelerator platform. Common Room's platform ran go-to-market work for teams at Atlassian, Anthropic, Autodesk, Notion, Okta, and Snowflake. Terms were not disclosed.
MCP momentum continues across vendors
Microsoft certified seven MCP launch partners in late July for its Dynamics 365 Sales agents built on Copilot Studio: ZoomInfo, Dun & Bradstreet, LeadIQ, Draup, Gong, Enlyft, and HG Insights. Certification requires an external service to meet Microsoft's reliability, security, compliance, and responsible-operation standards before reaching Dynamics 365 Sales customers.
6sense launched an MCP Server in open beta on July 14 for Revenue Marketing customers. The server makes account insights, predictive buying stage, 6QA status, keyword intent, and ad campaign performance callable from Claude, ChatGPT, Writer, Agentforce, Gemini, and Perplexity, with general availability planned for August 2026.
Showpad shipped a native MCP Server on July 15 with out-of-the-box integrations for Salesforce Agentforce, Microsoft Copilot, and Glean.
